Parish Organizations

St. Vincent DePaul Society

The St. Vincent DePaul Society is a group of men and women who care for the needs of the poor. The major work carried on by the society at St. James is the food pantry.

The distribution of food takes place on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

The Society meets the Monday prior to the food distribution at 6:00 PM in the SCDP Food Pantry.

USDA is an equal opportunity provider and employer.

“Food of the Month”

The Knights of Columbus and the St. Vincent DePaul Society sponsor a “Food of the Month” drive. Each month a food item will be designated and parishioners, especially children, are asked to bring food items to donate. A basket will be placed outside the church doors for the food items at each Mass. Please be generous and support the hungry. All donations go directly to our St. Vincent DePaul Society Food Pantry which serves those in need in our area.

See our Food Pantry page for guidelines and news.

The Ladies Sodality

The Ladies Sodality (Our Lady of Perpetual Help) is the major organization for women. Meeting once a month on the first Tuesday, they plan and discuss many projects for the Parish. The major activity of the Sodality is the maintenance of the Liturgical vestments, vessels, and altar supplies used during Worship.

The major fund raiser for the Sodality is the Lenten Fish Fry on three of the Fridays during Lent.

All women are invited to belong to the Sodality. Simply call the rectory and we will be glad to assist you.

Usher's Guild

The Ushers Guild is the Hospitality and Transportation organization. The Guild greets worshipers as they enter the church and assists them in being seated along with seeing to any needs that they may have. They are especially helpful to handicapped worshipers.

Parish Council
